Authorized users will be notified of an exchange request and can respond in Symphony by following these steps.
1. Find the Request
- Find the Submission stated in the notification on the Symphony Dashboard.
- Select View Details for the Submitted proposal in the referenced solicitation (see Figure 1).
- The proposal details are displayed.
- Select Exchanges from the left menu.
- A notification icon displays by the new message (see Figure 2).

2. Provide a Response
All Business users can respond to an exchange
- Select the Exchange title.
- View and send messages to the requester (see Figure 3).
- View and upload documents on the Attachments tab (see Figure 4).
- A user uploading a document can delete it when it is in the Draft Attachments folder.
- Finalize Attachments to lock the document(s).

- Symphony will immediately notify the requester when messages are sent from an Ongoing request.
- Users can view exchanges at any time.
- Multiple messages can be sent in the exchange, so this feature can be used to ask clarifying questions of the government.
- The program office will close the exchange when no further communication is required.
