Please follow these instructions to successfully add federal projects to your Company Assets in Symphony.

Step 1. Go to Projects

Step 2. Start Your Project Reference

Step 3. Upload all your Project Documents

Step 4. Complete Your Project Details

Step 5. Review and Complete

1. Go to Projects

Navigate to My Company and select the Projects/Past Performance tab. Click the +New Project Experience button to add projects to your company assets before starting your proposal.

2. Start Your Project Reference

To start your project reference, provide the requested information. New Projects are entered by filling in the fields and following the steps relating to your Project References, Documents, and Details.

The first three options are not Federal Contract Types. They are Commercial and Other Types.

The remaining Contract Types are US Federal Government types and may change as required by a solicitation.

Contract Types in Projects/Past Performance Screen

For the Department and Agency name, we get our data directly from FPDS. If the agency you need is not listed, please submit a copy of the FPDS report to the Symphony Help Desk so that we can verify the Contracting Office Agency ID and Funding Agency ID from the Purchaser Information section and then fulfill your request.

Sample Purchaser Information from an FPDS report

  • If an FPDS report does not exist, please use a Commercial Project Type so that you can enter in the name of the customer or agency that does not report to FPDS.
  • You must contact us with the FPDS code from your contract and your contract number so that we can assist with adding eligible Federal Agencies.

3. Upload all your Project Documents

Symphony will allow you to attach as many files as you need to support all your claims, but the size limitation of 20MB will prevent you from uploading too large of a file. Please reference the Symphony FAQ for more information on file upload rules.

Document Upload Area in Projects/Past Performance Screen

Before uploading, please use descriptive file names that explain what information is contained in the documents that support your claims. Uploaded files should have annotations (“tags”) to help guide evaluators to your qualifying criteria and additional solicitation-specific claims. Please reference the Symphony Tagging folder for more information. The only recommended tags are listed below. All "tags" are at your discretion. They are not required.

 Other Direct or Indirect Costs
 Cost Reimbursement
 Full-Time Equivalents
 Number of locations
Outside of the Continental United States
 Period of Performance
 Product and Service Code (PSC)
 Total Contract Value

  • Use the File Reference field to direct the evaluators to the relevant project document.
  • Use simple “tags” to make this process easier for yourself and the evaluators.
  • You cannot rename or tag your files in Symphony.

4. Complete Your Project Details

When you add Projects to My Company, all the project details entered will be considered against the scorecard once the project is added to a proposal and additional Performance Factors are claimed. Some project details are optional but may be required in future solicitations. If a question is not related to the solicitation then it is not a requirement and is not scored. You can choose to ignore them. The solicitation should always be used as the source of truth.

5. Review and Complete

Review the project's general information and documentation. Save and Complete to add the project.

  • A table will display the added Projects/Past Performance and the ability to view, edit, or delete them from your company assets. Use the Project title as a link to review the general information and documentation.

Next Steps

  1. Return to the Dashboard and go to the Solicitations tab to add projects to your submission.
  2. Performance Factors will then be available for additional scoring elements.

Additional Project Questions are found in the Submission
